In one of the most laid back and intimate civil ceremonies I have experienced, A & A 🙂 got formally married before their large wedding celebrations taking place at a later date. After the ceremony we took a few portraits and then joined a few more friends and family at the groom’s parents house. All the three locations had great but different views of lake Zurich with the last taking the prize perhaps by being at the highest vantage point. They both looked great (look at the gorgeous Sari – and there was no stopping her smiles the whole day).
During the ceremony: A ring on her finger.
After the ceremony.

With an international guest list, you can’t go wrong choosing the Bernese Oberland as your wedding location in Switzerland. There’s Swissness galore, with pristine alpine mountains, lakes and castles all over the place. Mirjam and Kevin got married in an ancient church dating from the 8th century, then took a boat to the other side of the lake for their reception. Since it was the national holiday of Switzerland, fireworks were going off all evening. DJ John Wisdom took care of the music.
Kevin’s just arrived at the church. The weather’s glorious – and warm!
Mirjam arrives with her dad.
The ceremony was a nice mix of touching and happy moments… and some good laughts…
The minister asked them to shake hands, which was funny by itself, but some subsequent comments got the guests to crack up.
Crossing the lake by boat.
On arrival, Kevin and his best man were so hot they jumped into the lake in their clothes!!!
(Just kidding – they pretended. Even Mirjam was fooled for a moment, haha)
Time to take a few portrait images, but Erika’s not here yet. The best man’s wondering where she is while Kevin’s cooling off Mirjam with the chilled bottled water.
Off to a nearby castle for some portraits.
Finally time to cool off some feet in the lake.
Mirjam and the bridesmaids couldn’t help singing along to “Dancing Queen”.
Fireworks on the lake. The moon was out as well. Magical!

Their wedding in Hong Kong is only scheduled for next year, so Dorothy and Nelson decided to grab a few pre-wedding shots while on their short trip to Switzerland. The weather forecast didn’t fully work out, but their enthusiasm more than made up for it, lol. Wish you a great trip back!

I guess there must be a gazillion cool locations to get married, but Italy’s sure got more than it’s fair share amongst them. The quaint little villages along the northern lakes with Lago d’Orta and Orta San Giulio are no exception. Lisa and Ike had their big day here last week and were blessed with great weather and by the whole Italian populace (well, it seemed like that anyway) heartily wishing them Auguri – congratulations. Add to all that the picture-perfect ingredients: lake, hills, historic patinated house-facades and the couple themselves – wow!
Amidst all this, Lisa and her dad were rowed to the town hall on a boat (beat that!), by a captain dressed in white complete with his official cap. Weddings Now and Forever did all the organizing (thanks for your help, Philippa).
